Pepsi and the Bell

I know the title of this blogspot is earlinoxford but as you know I'm not in Oxford. Not sure what to do with the blog at this point, whether to start with a new address, or keep this one and not have a focus of being in Oxford, or not have a blog at all, obviously you can tell that I am quite unclear about future blogging. As for this blog I want to comment on a couple of purchases that we have made since being back in America. The other day we were walking around Meijier (for those of who have been there you know what I'm talking about) google eyed at the choice, colors and size of the store. I did miss Meijer whilst in Oxford, there is not a store that big, sorry Tesco doesn't size up, anyway we went down the pop aisle. There were 24 packs of Pepsi, not generic brand but actual Pepsi for 4.99. This meant that for our purchase of 24 cans we paid a bit more than we would for a Pepsi at the pub, and we get 24 cans for this price. It may not sound like much to you, but I was astounded, and am enjoying this reverse currency game of "that was 3 pounds in England, that's 6 bucks" to now saying "We get that much for only 1.50 that would be at least 3 pounds in England" again you may not be nearly as excited as I am, truly a stark reality of life on this side of the pond. I must comment on Taco Bell, as some of you know I think a Taco Bell franchise in the UK would be an instant hit, we stopped by there the other night. The prices are downright reasonable, I forgot the glory that is the Bell, and expect to make a run for the border a few more times in the near future. Thanks for letting me get this off my mind, most people would be bored hearing about it, I figure, if you don't want to read, then don't if you do then enjoy. later
